Over the years, the Woodward Dream Cruise has become the single largest classic car event in the United States. And, this year, it was even bigger.
The Woodward Dream Cruise encompasses nine metro Detroit communities along 16 miles of Woodward Avenue, including Ferndale, which hosts the iconic Mustang Alley. This year marks not only 50 years of Mustangs, but also the 20th anniversary of the Dream Cruise, meaning Mustang Alley had to be the biggest and best yet.
Normally, registration for Mustang Alley is limited to 800 cars, but this year, more than 1,100 Mustangs registered for the event. To make room for all the cars, Ford moved its outdoor showroom to the west side of Woodward Avenue. Mustangs from all 50 years were represented at the show and Ford even raffled off a one-of-a-kind 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Years Limited Edition convertible. The winning ticket number is P17135, so if you bought a ticket, check to see if you won.
