Ford has released its monthly sales report. The short story: America’s best-selling truck is still America’s best-selling truck, and Lincoln is growing fast. Read on for details!
With sales totaling 55,882 in February, the legendary Ford F-Series experienced its best February in eight years. It’s one thing to be ahead of the pack—but to say the F-Series is just ahead would be an understatement. It’s so far ahead of the competition that it could look into its own rearview mirrors with binoculars and still see no threat of anyone approaching.
Ford’s Lincoln division has also been thriving. Popular vehicles like the MKZ and MKX have helped the luxury brand achieve 6,661 February sales, a 36 percent increase compared to the same period last year. It also marks Lincoln’s fifth consecutive month of positive sales gains!
Come check out the Ford F-150 or the luxurious MKZ and MKX at Hassett Automotive!
In the video below you’re going to meet Amar and Rachel. These two love birds are long time New Yorkers that have driven the streets of Brooklyn more times than anyone cares to count. However, when Amar and Rachel took a drive through Brooklyn in the new Lincoln MKZ the other day they were able to see Brooklyn in a new light.
Watch the video below to see what we mean:

Pretty cool, isn’t it? The sun roof on the MKZ essentially turns the car into a convertible and uncovers what you normally would not be able to see.
If you would like to take the new 2013 MKZ for a drive like Amar and Rachel, stop by Hassett Automotive in Wantagh, NY. Any one of our sales team members would love to accompany you on a test drive and tell you more about this beautiful car.
See you soon!
With winter now behind us, you might think that bumpy, pothole filled roads are gone for the time being. However, we’ve noticed that a lot of roads still have many potholes, and my tires have not really been appreciating them very much. In fact, I’m surprised I haven’t popped a tire one of those bad boys yet.
Thankfully Lincoln has developed some ground-breaking technology (no pun intended) that is sure to give you some peace of mind whenever you drive on pothole-covered roads. Essentially, the new Lincoln MKZ and MKS have a computer system that is constantly monitoring road conditions, and whenever it notices something like a pothole, it adjusts the suspension appropriately.
USA Today explains this technology very well. “When the system finds a pothole, it instantly tightens damper control to prevent the wheel and tire from sinking all the way in. The system is so quick that the experience of the front wheels allows for quick calculations knowing the rear wheels are about to pass over the same hole.”
And according to Brian Naspinsky, Lincoln Vehicle Integration engineer, the system “is always active, and it underpins the expanded dynamic capabilities of the new MKS.” The new 2013 MKS and MKZ are available now at Hassett Automotive! Stop by today to take one for a test drive and see how smart, sexy, and sophisticated these vehicles are first-hand. See you soon!
