The Ford Mustang has reached a major milestone. For the first time in its 50-year history, the Ford Mustang exports globally. Specifically designed for international markets, the Ford Mustang is now being exported from Ford’s plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, to 100 markets worldwide.
The first shipments are headed to Asia, and each Mustang is carefully prepared to withstand the harsh and demanding conditions of transport. About 100 jobs have been added at the Port of Portland, a primary shipping port for Ford and Lincoln vehicles China- and Korea-bound. According to USAToday.com, first shipments of Ford Mustangs are expected to arrive mid-year.
