Join us at the Hassett Subaru More2Love Launch celebration this Saturday from 9am to 5pm!
At the Geneva Motor Show held in Switzerland last month, Subaru showed off its redesigned Crosstrek that will make its debut for the 2018 model year. The Crosstrek is based on the Impreza and will take on many of the improvements found in the redesigned 2017 Impreza.
One of the most notable changes will be the Crosstrek’s quiet interior. Subaru says it has improved body rigidity by at least 70%, translating to reduced vibrations in the seats, floor, and steering wheel. This should deliver a smooth, quiet ride.
The Crosstrek’s engine has also been improved. It will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is both lighter and more powerful than the outgoing model. In addition, its continuously variable transmission has been modified for better shifting and improved efficiency. Official ratings will be released later; however, the outgoing model currently returns an EPA-estimated 34 mpg highway*.
Another notable change will be in the EyeSight safety system. It will come standard on all models and will include features like lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, automatic precollision braking, and adaptive cruise control.
Here at Hassett Pre-Owned, we are excited to see the changes in the Subaru lineup. If you’re looking for a great used Subaru, come see what we have available now.
