It seems like these days car makers are all about getting high-tech safety equipment in their cars to help keep the driver and passengers as safe as possible. And there’s nothing wrong with that! In fact, new Subaru vehicles are jam packed with awesome safety equipment. But we think that sometimes car makers need to just go back to the basics and think about the simple changes they can make to cars to make them much safer.
Lack of visibility, for example, is a big issue that has caused countless accidents. And this is an easy fix! The smaller the blind spot is, the better visibility will be. That’s probably why Consumer Reports went ahead and made a list of cars with the best visibility.
According to Consumer Reports, “Being able to see out and around a vehicle from the driver’s seat can directly impact your safety and those around you. Vehicles with big blind spots make it harder for driver’s to see other vehicles approaching, and even children or pets behind the vehicle. When a driver can’t see, it can be a recipe for disaster. Backup cameras and sensors can be helpful aids for those vehicles with poor visibility.”
The Subaru Outback was named to the list of cars with the best visibility. And that’s on top of already being named an IIHS Top Safety Pick. Not too shabby. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a great, safe, new car – Check out the Subaru Outback at Hassett Automotive.

According to the New York DMV, there were over 125,000 car accidents in New York last year. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was some technology out there that could help this number go down? Well Subaru is doing its part to make driving a little safer.
