With winter now behind us, you might think that bumpy, pothole filled roads are gone for the time being. However, we’ve noticed that a lot of roads still have many potholes, and my tires have not really been appreciating them very much. In fact, I’m surprised I haven’t popped a tire one of those bad boys yet.
Thankfully Lincoln has developed some ground-breaking technology (no pun intended) that is sure to give you some peace of mind whenever you drive on pothole-covered roads. Essentially, the new Lincoln MKZ and MKS have a computer system that is constantly monitoring road conditions, and whenever it notices something like a pothole, it adjusts the suspension appropriately.
USA Today explains this technology very well. “When the system finds a pothole, it instantly tightens damper control to prevent the wheel and tire from sinking all the way in. The system is so quick that the experience of the front wheels allows for quick calculations knowing the rear wheels are about to pass over the same hole.”
And according to Brian Naspinsky, Lincoln Vehicle Integration engineer, the system “is always active, and it underpins the expanded dynamic capabilities of the new MKS.” The new 2013 MKS and MKZ are available now at Hassett Automotive! Stop by today to take one for a test drive and see how smart, sexy, and sophisticated these vehicles are first-hand. See you soon!
So…what will you be getting as gifts this year? Another tie or scarf, perhaps? How about a wall-mounted fish that sings? Maybe this holiday, you’ll finally get that “Chia Pet” you never wanted.
C’mon…it’s the holiday season. Your holiday season. If you don’t get yourself the really incredible gift your heart desires, chances are really good you won’t get it at all.

If your current vehicle was damaged during the storm, you may qualify for this extra assistance in addition to numerous other incentives.
For years, Lincoln has had the reputation of being the car brand for the older generation. However, no longer are Lincoln’s only to be used for weekly grocery trips for older folks. Lincoln has taken its game to the next level, introducing cutting edge features into their vehicles, giving the competition a run for their money.
Take the available 3.5L Ecoboost V6 engine in the all new 2013 Lincoln MKS for example. With 365 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 20 combined mpg, the new MKS beautifully combines power and efficiency.
However, there’s a lot more to this car than just what is under the hood. Things like the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and the Lane Keeping System allow the driver to hit the road with peace of mind, knowing that the MKS has advanced technology working behind the scenes to keep everyone onboard as safe as possible.
The 2013 Lincoln MKS is now available at Hassett Automotive. If you’re interested in experiencing the MKS first hand, give us a call at 516-785-7800 and we’ll set up a time for you to take a test drive with one of our friendly sales team members.
