Kelly Blue Book (KBB) names Lincoln as “Best Luxury Brand” based on its own 5-Year Cost-to-Own Awards, recently handed at the Chicago Auto Show.
The awards recognize brands that demonstrate excellent long-term value relative to their competitors, which would include other luxury SUVs and crossover vehicles, including the new MKX, which figured prominently in the show.
KBB described Lincoln as the surprise winner in this year’s luxury category.
Lincoln bested all luxury competitors on the basis of highly competitive pricing and a resurgent product line with exciting new vehicles like the Lincoln MKX midsize SUV, a winner in its class, and the smaller MKC compact crossover.
These well equipped, nicely priced luxury SUVs, aided by help from the venerable Lincoln Navigator, were the reasons the company emerged as the luxury brand for 2015, including “Best Luxury Mid-Size SUV/Crossover” for the 2015 Lincoln MKX.
Although built on chassis that it shares with the Ford Edge, the 2015 Lincoln MKX cranks luxury up to the next level with a decidedly upscale exterior design, well thought out comforts for driver and passengers alike with heated/cooled seats, rich leather upholstery and wood trim and a robust V6 engine.
A starting price of less than $40,000 also helped the MKX achieve its class-leading number. The MKX offers comfortable 5-passenger seating in a spacious cabin along with the utility of a split folding rear seat that when down accommodates up 68.6 cubic feet of cargo.
The high seating position provides great visibility make the MKX easy to drive and park.
Lincoln MKX is not only right-sized for its mission, but also priced right to make it a good value. Lincoln was also presented with the Consumer Guide® Automotive 2015 Best Buy Award in the “Premium Compact Crossover/SUV” category for the 2015 Lincoln MKC.
East year Consumer Guide Automotive editors analyze, compare and evaluate categories. The models that best fit the needs of the consumer are recognized with Best Buy accolades.
The all-new Lincoln MKC and MKX models are what Lincoln drivers have been waiting for. It’s great to see his historic brand with one of the best products in a hot and expanding segment.
