It’s the biggest thing to happen to parts and service at the Ford Motor Co. since … well, since they invented parts and service.
On Oct. 1, Ford kicked off a new Service Part Warranty extending coverage from the standard 12 months/12,000 miles to an amazing 24 months unlimited miles…with no commercial exceptions. In addition, wholesale customers are entitled to receive up to $150 in labor reimbursement.
Scott Noel, wholesale zone manager for the Ford Motor Co., wrote directly to managers at all Ford dealerships to relay the “outstanding” news about Ford’s new Service Part Warranty plan. And no doubt about it, “this is big,” understated Paulo Simoes, parts manager at Hassett of Wantagh.
Hassett is already Long Island’s No. 1 volume Ford, Lincoln and Subaru dealer, and the new program doubles the coverage months and eliminates mileage restrictions for all Ford Genuine and Motorcraft parts – Paulo expects the new program to provide added protection for high-mileage drivers and peace of mind for all customers.
“We’re very excited to roll out this new Service Part Warranty Program,” notes Lou Evans, Hassett of Wantagh’s general manager. “Covered vehicles receive specialized parts and services tailored specifically to the brand, and owners can rest assured knowing that their vehicles are protected with genuine parts and service no matter where in the United States they drive. Ford has really made a wise choice in creating this competitive new plan, and we’re very excited to be a part of it.”
