The latest of these is the remarkable 2013 Ford E-350 High-Top Utility Body vehicle, offering a new standard of convenience and value to the commercial truck owner.

Built for power and designed for maximum efficiency, the E350 Utility Body’s 5.4L EFI V8 engine provides a solid combination of performance and fuel efficiency. It does more than simply pull its weight, comfortably handling loads as heavy as 10,000 pounds. And with advanced technologies like an available integrated trailer brake controller, among numerous others, it’s redefining the concept of ‘working smart’.

“What most impresses the majority of our customers is how it makes it easier than ever to stay organized,” says Ken Vighi, Commercial Truck Manager at Hassett Ford of Wantagh. “Unlike other commercial vans or trucks, it features several storage compartments on the outside of the vehicle, all with independent locks, governed by a master system which locks them all. On a van or small box truck, with conventional storage in the middle of the vehicle, you often have to climb over what’s stored to retrieve needed tools or whatever from interior compartments. So there’s no more crawling around the bed of your truck to find.”

Another popular feature of the new E350 Utility Body is the sliding door behind the driver and passenger that allows for entry into the rear without ever being outside, which comes in very handy on a job site during inclement weather. Whatever’s required can be gathered and prepared in total comfort and safety. When not needed, the door closes tightly for complete security. And while the rear area is large enough for a grown man to easily stand up in, this new E350 is easy to manager and maneuver.

“Its footprint, meaning the actual space it takes up on the ground, is comparable to a Ford standard van,” Vighi explains; “just three inches wider. And at 129 inches long, the length is only slighter greater than their extended van. So the average van driver will have no trouble transitioning into the new E350 High-Top Utility Body.”

Additional features include automatic transmission, a 4.10 ltd. slip axle, air conditioning, trail tow mirrors, power windows/locks/mirrors, cruise control, a 10,050-pound GWVR package, and remote keyless entry. It also comes with an optional extended upgrade package. The only thing that can make it a better choice is Hassett’s low price of just $35,999, which includes upfit incentives and Competitive Leasing Conquest.

“I’ve been associated with Ford for over 30 years, “says Vighi, “and they’ve always been knowing for building very high-quality vehicles. Together with Hassett’s reputation for unbeatable value, the new E350 Utility Body makes a great, and affordable, choice for today’s professional whose vehicles are their livelihood. Just as important, as one of the tri-state region’s only Ford dealership with its own dedicated commercial service center onsite, we also provide additional customizing as desired, and expert service whenever needed.”
