Are you a driving enthusiasts? Do you drive a manual transmission simply to feel more in-tune with your car? Does the term “heel-toe” mean something to you? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then Ford has just released a car that you may be interested in. It’s called the 2013 Ford Focus ST and it presents a new platform for fun and exciting driving dynamics.

Essentially Ford took a standard 2013 Focus hatchback and tuned it specifically for the driving enthusiast. Instead of resting on cloth seats, the Focus ST comes with two Recaro racing seats for the driver and passenger. Engineers equipped the hot-hatch with a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that provides 252 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque at a ridiculous 2700 rpm.  At  only 3250 lbs, the Ford Focus ST has a fantastic power to weight ratio and can still function as a daily driver when needed.

One other amazing thing to note about the 2013 Ford Focus ST is that it still gets fantastically frugal fuel economy even after the sporty performance. Drivers can go 0-60 mph in under 6.5 seconds and then realize that they will soon be getting better than 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Thanks to a six-speed manual transmission savvy Focus ST operators will be able to keep RPMs low and MPGs high.

Hassett of Wantagh is extremely excited about the 2013 Ford Focus as it represents an affordable, fun sports car which also doubles as a hatchback for regular driving duties. Muscular styling and bold colors make sure that other drivers don’t under estimate the next level Focus and the beefy 252 horsepower engine backs up the looks with raw performance.
