While Spring is bringing back decent weather to the Long Island area, Hassett Highlights decided to remind our readers that Subaru AWD is still some of the best around when it comes to battling inclement weather. To prove this we’ve gathered some footage from a view Subaru owners who have customized their cars to perform even better in snowy conditions.
Our blog has recently found a customized Subaru WRX STI on eBay Motors which has been fitted with treads instead of wheels to improve grip. This AWD master-of-the-elements can be found in Chassell Michigan, in the Upper Penisula, where locals can get an average of 17 feet of snow per winter. Needless to say these treads are not just for show! Below you can see actual footage of the Subaru making mincemeat out of some snow dunes:
