NEW LINCOLN/FORD CPO RULES

While everyone else around the country was eagerly anticipating whether “Punxsutawney Phil” and his fellow groundhogs would see their shadows the following day, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Hassett Automotive employees spent this past February 1st initiating exciting new rules for all their certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles.

What this means for Hassett customers is even greater security and peace-of-mind when they purchase any Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury CPO vehicle.  And when you consider that Hassett has been Long Island’s #1 CPO volume dealer for the last two years, these new rules signify a dealership with a relentless drive to keep improving on their own accomplishments.

“We’re never satisfied with the status quo,” remarks Sal Rivela, Hassett’s Pre-Owned Manager. “Neither are Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury. With our tremendous inventory — the largest selection of CPO Lincolns on Long Island — we could have been content to maintain our prior way of doing things. But that’s just not how we operate.”

To start off, every Ford and Mercury CPO vehicle at Hassett will now undergo an even more rigorous inspection protocol consisting of a 172-point checklist, up from 169. All Lincoln CPOs will have their former 169-point inspection increase to 200 separate analyses. So when someone drives home in their Hassett Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln CPO, they’ll do it in greater comfort and safety, as well as style.

All Hassett Lincoln CPOs will continue to provide a six-year/100K-mile warranty. However, their Ford and Mercury counterparts will take things to the next level, providing seven years or 100,000 miles of confidence and protection, thanks to a new, fully- transferable powertrain limited warranty. And both have quadrupled their previous three-month/3,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty to 12 months/12,000 miles. This new coverage extends to more than 500 components, including many high-tech parts, in the following areas:

• Air conditioning and heating• Emissions • Ford audio • Safety
